About Us


The Pasco Police Athletic League (PPAL) is a nonprofit organization governed by the Pasco County (Florida) 
Sheriffs Office. PPAL comprises of 10 teams throughout the counties of the northern Tampa Bay area. PPAL involves children of the ages of 5 through 16 years old for football and cheerleading from August 
to November of each year.

PPAL was established in 1973 by John Short when he teamed up with the Chief of Police of
New Port Richey.

 Registration has begun for many of the leagues. To find out more information about participating in the PPAL League in 2008, registration information may be obtained from the local team for your area. If available, links for the local teams are available on our Team Website page.
